DEMETRISH NICOLE COSMETICS is founded by a woman of color with a face full of moles. I started DNC Cosmetics because as a teenager growing up, I had low self-esteem and I didn’t think I was pretty because I had of moles in my face in addition to having a darker skin complexion compared to my sister and cousins who are bright skin. I didn’t understand why God would give me moles and make my skin darker than everyone else’s. As a result of my low self-esteem, I struggled with finding my identity and didn’t like who I was as a person. But as I begin to grow in mature into women hood I realize that God didn’t punish me he gave me value he gave me purpose and he gave me an identity that was specifically and uniquely designed just for me he gave me a part of my mother because when I look at myself I see my mother I have her moles and I have her skin complexion and that’s one of the greatest gifts that a mother can give to her daughter is her own self-identity. This brand is built of my mother's moles and her dark skin complexion I am my mother's daughter, and I created this brand for women that look like me walk like me, and talk like me. Our shades are bold and vibrant because I want the most undiscovered woman which is a woman of color to know that we have now been discovered and we are beautiful human beings created and hand crafted by God. I vow to inspire encourage and remind you daily of just how valuable you are.
